Sunn are a staple of rock guitar and bass history, their raw power being unparalleled in terms of volume, amplitude and headroom. Used by the likes of Pete Townsend, Jimi Hendrix, the Beach Boys and the Melvins before being adopted by the likes of aptly named Sunn O))), Sunn pushed amplifier innovation throughout the 60s and 70s. Richard Bussey, of FMIC, said:
“We’re proud to partner with Mission Engineering to uphold the legacy of the Sunn Amplifier brand and look forward to introducing modern players to the raw power that these classic amplifiers are capable of.”
“We can’t wait to show what the Mission Engineering and Sunn Amplification team has in store.”
Sunn is relaunched under Sunn Musical Equipment Corporation, both honouring original designs and introducing new products for modern players, incorporating modern technology. Products will be available globally in late 2023.
