New from Acustica is the Cherry EQ, designed for mastering, and harnessing Acustica’s ‘Hyper’ technology. The Cherry is available now and serves as a four-band EQ plus of shelves and adjustable Qs. There’s standard stereo or mid-side processing available.

The ‘Hyper’ technology acts as a way to produce more accurate reproductions of top-tier gear, as well as using less processing power because of their use of impulse responses as opposed to actual processing power. The Cherry has four modes available: EQ, EQ Eco, EQ Digital and EQ Digital 2X, and harness the impulse responses differently to either reduce CPU consumption or even add artefacts present on the hardware that Cherry emulates.
