More than 70 amps, cabinets and effects arrive on Quad Cortex and Quad Cortex mini in a free update built around faster sound design.
Anyone with a folder of Neural DSP plugins can now run all of them on hardware. CorOS 4.1.0, which Neural DSP calls the largest Quad Cortex update in its history, extends Plugin Compatibility to the last five X-updated plugins, so the full range crosses over to Quad Cortex and Quad Cortex mini.

The plugins
Archetype: John Mayer X, Petrucci X, Misha Mansoor X, Rabea X and Tim Henson X join the fold, adding more than 70 amps, cabinets and effects that run alongside native CorOS devices and Neural Captures.
Device Presets
The other headline feature is how sounds get built and stored. Rather than saving a whole rig, the settings of a single Virtual Device – an amp, cabinet, drive, effect or utility block – can be saved on their own and recalled into any preset. CorOS 4.1.0 ships with more than 2,000 factory Device Presets, with room to build and organise your own.

- Glitch granular delay
- Ring Modulator
- Arpeggio Delay
- Crystal Delay
- Vintage Digital Reverb
- Douglas Shining Comp, based on the Hyper Luminal compressor by Darkglass Electronics
- Plugin Parametric-4 EQ
Players working in Stomp Mode also get Dual Footswitch Assignments, which allow supported switches take on a second function separate from bypass.
Cortex Control 4.1.0
The companion desktop app adds Multiple Device Management. Several Quad Cortex and Quad Cortex mini units can be connected and run from one computer, each given a custom name, with switching between them handled in software rather than by swapping cables.
