Available in the familiar arsenal of Intro, Standard and Suite editions, Live 11 can be purchased today via Ableton’s website. Existing Ableton Live users can check their accounts to investigate upgrade pricing and availability.

New features to Live 11 include a new Comping mode for both audio and MIDI data, plus support for MPE and an intuitive new Live Tempo Following tool to sync up the DAW with live audio tracks.

Other new updates include new Wavetable, Sampler and Arpeggiator tools, as well as a bunch of new Hybrid Reverbs, Spectral Resonators and Spectral Time devices. A new Inspired By Nature device lets you pepper your tracks with the sound of birdsong, gusts of wind and flowing water, while PitchLoop 89 lets you dial in some wonky vibrato to ‘vintage’ up your tracks.

Six new instruments have also been added into the mix, with Ableton teaming up wth Spitfire Audio on a new String Quartet, Upright Piano and Brass Quartet, while Voice Box, Mood Reel and Drone Lab offer a range of vocal samples, ambient sounds and textural drones.

Elsewhere, Ableton Live 11 also adds new Note and Velocity Chance tools, new Macros and Follow Actions, while a number of Devices, Packs and Live’s Core Library have been updated with new content.
