Built in the same style as the EP–133 K.O. II, the splash-proof combo runs on battery and takes guitar, mic and line inputs at once.
The EP–133 K.O. II has been teenage engineering’s go-to compact sampler since 2023, and now it has an amp built in the same chunky grey style. The EP–35 K.O.–AMP 35 is a battery-powered combo with a 30-watt woofer and a 25-watt tweeter, and it doubles as an audio interface, a Bluetooth speaker and, with the right accessory, an FM radio.

The top panel holds a 1/4-inch guitar input with low and high gain settings, an XLR mic input with 48V phantom power and a 3.5mm stereo line in. All of them feed a six-input summing mixer, so a guitar, a vocal and a backing track can play at the same time. Eight effects presets cover guitar and mic, with separate dials for choosing the effect and setting how much of it comes through. Over USB-C it works as a USB 2.0 audio interface for a laptop or phone, and a stereo line out sends the whole mix on to a bigger system.

Bluetooth LE Audio handles streaming, and its broadcast mode can send the same audio to other K.O. AMPs nearby, which makes a campsite with two or three of them a lot louder. Power comes from a rechargeable battery that charges over USB-C, and there’s no mains option at all, which says plenty about where teenage engineering expects it to end up. It’s splash-proof too, and the rear grille hides a storage compartment with a camp light that switches on when the hatch opens. The light even has a disco mode.
In typical teenage engineering fashion, the accessory list runs long. The EP–127 is a wireless pedal with two pressure-sensitive buttons that doubles as a MIDI controller, the amptenna plugs in to add FM radio, and a 16GB USB drive comes loaded with jam tracks and drum loops. A Handy Mic, a dock kit for mounting EP devices on the grille, a textile guitar cable, a strap and three bags fill out the range, and the mic, drive, amptenna and dock kit also come together as an add-on bundle.
