Built on the pitch engine from Klevgrand’s Altitude, the plugin pairs scale-aware harmonies with four one-button character effects.
When Klevgrand released Altitude in May, it packed pitch correction, three-voice harmonies, a MIDI-playable voice module and enough modulation to make a lead vocal unrecognisable into a single plugin. It was a lot of plugin. Altitude Harmony, the Stockholm developer’s first joint product with Focusrite, keeps the same pitch engine and hands over the two things most singers want first – a tuned lead and a stack of harmonies behind it – without asking anyone to learn the rest.

The two companies have worked together for years, but this is the first time both names have gone on the same product. Klevgrand has built a reputation on instruments and effects that are fun to use, and Focusrite’s Scarlett interfaces are on more home studio desks than anyone could count, so the pairing makes plenty of sense.
“We have loved working with the Focusrite team since day one and when we got the chance to bring the Altitude concept to a much wider audience with Focusrite it was kind of a no-brainer,” says Klevgrand CEO Tobias Engström.
Every harmony comes from a single dial, which runs from voices stacked below the lead to voices stacked above it, adding more parts the further it’s turned. The plugin works out which notes belong in the chosen scale, so there’s no need for a theory chart open in another window. The key is set from a strip at the top of the interface, or the notes can be hand-picked for songs that wander outside a standard scale.
Style, the second dial, looks after pitch correction. At one end it’s subtle enough that nobody will know the take was touched, and at the other it locks every note in place for the full hard-tune treatment. Formant correction stays on across the whole range, so the voice keeps its own character at both extremes.
Droid, Clones, Vibrato and Tremolo run as four buttons along the bottom of the window, and not one of them has a parameter to fiddle with. Each takes the vocal somewhere new in a single click, which is about as much commitment as a mid-session idea deserves.
A low-latency mode and vocal register settings are tucked into the settings panel for tracking and live use, while the MIDI voice module and modulation section remain exclusive to the full Altitude. Altitude Harmony is available now in VST3, AU and AAX formats for macOS and Windows.
