The guitars will feature inbuilt sophisticated effects modelling.
Guitar effect and amplification brand Mooer Audio will launch their first line of electric guitars called GTRS Intelligent Guitars.
The S800 model is described as a “complete, lightweight digital and analogue guitar system built from the ground up”.
With a variety of built-in effects and the GTRS Intelligent Processor System designed in conjunction with master guitar builders and Mooer engineers, the guitar is “designed to function with its dedicated mobile application to offer seamless integration of classic guitar stylings and modern digital simulation technology”.
“The GWF4 Wireless Footswitch is also available to provide complete control of your tone during live performance, recording, or practice sessions,” the website said.
While complete details are yet to be revealed, it looks as though effects and amp-modelling can be adjusted spontaneously with the accompanying footswitch and iOS and Android compatible app which removes the traditional cable connections.
Models are also expected to be loaded with 126 built-in effects, as well as an inbuilt drum machine with 40 presets, 80-second looper, tuner and metronome.
The website states “the first Standard 800 model features an America basswood body, roasted Canadian maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard that feels great in the hand and provides all of the functionality of a normal guitar even if the GTRS intelligent process system is turned off”.
“The Custom S-S-H alnico pickup configuration was specifically chosen to provide the maximum amount of tonal flexibility while adhering to tried-and-true guitar designs”.
The guitar will come in vintage white, sonic blue, shell pink, and surf green and will be crowdfunded via IndieGogo with special offers for early bird subscribers.
