According to Fender, the final Parallel Universe design looks as though it “just stepped out of a DeLorean time machine.” You’ll find features from a host of Fender favourites on the guitar, including elements of the Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass.
The ’51 Telecaster PJ Bass combines classic looks with a modern feel, offering a slab ash ’51 Precision Bass body with a single-ply black pickguard, Telecaster bass maple neck with American Vintage ’63 P Bass profile, and original-era features such as dual-concentric volume knobs and a vintage spaghetti headstock logo.
Elsewhere, the new design offers a Custom Shop ‘60s Jazz Bass single-coil bridge pickup, a Custom Shop ‘60s P Bass split-coil middle pickup, and a HiMass vintage bridge.
