Voxmotive 2 brings new depth to cinematic vocal production

The new vocal library from Audiomodern features soprano performances across 41 preset categories, all built in the customisable Soundbox engine.

Voxmotive 2 is Audiomodern’s expanded vocal library, pulling together performances from soprano vocalists Anvia, Ffion Elisa, Joanna Lero, Timbre Cierpke and Nacre. The library spans 1GB of material across 41 distinct preset categories — vocal phrases, drone and pad textures, and spoken word samples organised by key for quick browsing.

Catch up on all the latest news here.

The vocal palette leans cinematic, with ethereal, expressive soprano work designed to sit into ambient soundscapes, film scores, and electronic productions without demanding the front of the mix. The library includes five dedicated drone and pad presets for layering and evolving textures underneath existing arrangements.

Everything runs inside Audiomodern’s Soundbox engine, a sampler built to handle the company’s virtual instruments. Soundbox is customisable, so you can adjust modular effects, LFO, and the Vector Engine to shape the preset library into something specific to your session. It’s also MPE compatible, so if you’re working with MIDI controllers that support polyphonic expression, Soundbox can read that data and respond to per-note articulation and pressure information.

The whole package downloads as instant audio files, so there’s no waiting for content to stream. Soundbox runs across all major DAWs, including Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Studio One, Cubase, Bitwig, Reaper and others, available on both desktop and iPad.

If you’re already familiar with Voxmotive 1, Voxmotive 2 stands as a natural expansion rather than a replacement. Audiomodern offers both as a bundle if you want the full vocal library in one download.

Voxmotive 2 is available through Audiomodern.
