- Ability to easily build rapport with artists, artist management and business partners
- Existing network of people in the electronic music industry, both locally and internationally

- Previous experience working amongst the electronic music industry, whether in Australia or overseas
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong writing skills, attention to detail and time management
- Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded
Tasks Include:
- Work with the A&R division on identifying artists and building Sony Music’s local electronic music roster, for both recording rights and artist management
- Communicate closely with the internal marketing teams to create and articulate artist positioning and maximising sales
- Oversee artist marketing and promotional strategies and the creation of tools for electronic music artists
- Work with our New Zealand team on electronic music priorities and activities in that market to ensure it complements Australian activity
- Liaise with overseas affiliates and repertoire owners on international artist releases, marketing, promotional visits and tours to Australia
- Responsibility for the success of Ministry of Sound compilations and electronic music playlists on digital services
- Ensure the effective promotion of Sony Music artists at key radio, television, print and online media outlets
- Develop and foster close relationships with various stakeholders in the Australian electronic music industry
- Represent Sony Music in a professional capacity in the local and international electronic music scene, including at industry events and conferences
- Manage staff responsible for electronic music in the company.
