ADMIN MANAGER – LEMON TREE MUSIC (Melbourne)

 

Lemon Tree Music, the management company behind the likes of Tash Sultana and Willow Beats, are currently seeking a motivated and experienced admin professional to join their team in an ongoing part-time role in Melbourne.  

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required:

  • 2 years minimum experience in administration (music industry preffered but not essential)
  • Fluency in the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as Photoshop and video editing skills
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Previous experience in social media support

 

Tasks Include:

  • Keeping schedules/calendars updated
  • Updating business documents and spreadsheets
  • Booking travel and accommodation as well as tour related logistics
  • Managing to do lists for the team and ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Managing and supporting the social media of both Lemon Tree Music and the artists they represent across multiple channels
  • Assisting with the creation of images for social media and promotion materials

A boutique agency specialising in partnerships for music festivals, events and artists, Paisley Music and Media is currently accepting applications for an energetic indivudal to join their offices in Surry Hills for four days a week to act as Partnership Coordinator.

 

Skills/Responsibilites Required:

  • A tertiary degree in marketing or entertainment management
  • An in-depth understanding of partnerships and sponsorships in the music industry
  • Excellent organisational skills and intuition
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • The ability to travel between events and festivals

 

Tasks Include:

  • Assisting with day-to-day office operations
  • Working closely with Paisley’s festival and brand portfolio
  • Management, activation and office implementation
  • Social media duties

ELECTRONIC MUSIC DIRECTOR – SONY MUSIC (Sydney)

 

With an expansion in their electronic music division, Sony Music are currently seeking a Music Director to join their Sydney team and overview Sony Music Australia’s diverse electronic music division.

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required:

  • Extensive knowledge and interest in electronic music and its sub-genres
  • Understanding of the radio, television, print and online media landscape in Australia
  • Ability to easily build rapport with artists, artist management and business partners
  • Existing network of people in the electronic music industry, both locally and internationally
  • Total dedication and passion towards promoting music and our artists
  • Previous experience working amongst the electronic music industry, whether in Australia or overseas
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong writing skills, attention to detail and time management
  • Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded

 

Tasks Include:

  • Work with the A&R division on identifying artists and building Sony Music’s local electronic music roster, for both recording rights and artist management
  • Communicate closely with the internal marketing teams to create and articulate artist positioning and maximising sales
  • Oversee artist marketing and promotional strategies and the creation of tools for electronic music artists
  • Work with our New Zealand team on electronic music priorities and activities in that market to ensure it complements Australian activity
  • Liaise with overseas affiliates and repertoire owners on international artist releases, marketing, promotional visits and tours to Australia
  • Responsibility for the success of Ministry of Sound compilations and electronic music playlists on digital services
  • Ensure the effective promotion of Sony Music artists at key radio, television, print and online media outlets
  • Develop and foster close relationships with various stakeholders in the Australian electronic music industry
  • Represent Sony Music in a professional capacity in the local and international electronic music scene, including at industry events and conferences
  • Manage staff responsible for electronic music in the company.

PROMOTIONS COORDINATOR – SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT (Sydney)

 

Sony are also seeking an experienced individual to join their promotions team, also based in Sydney.

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required:​

  • Extensive knowledge and interest in all genres of music
  • Understanding of radio, television, and online media
  • Ability to easily build rapport with artists, artist management, media and business partners
  • Total dedication and passion towards promoting music and our artists
  • Previous experience in promotions, communications or sales within the music and entertainment industries
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong writing skills, attention to detail and time management
  • Current driver’s licence and car
  • Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded

 

Tasks Include:

  • General administrative support for the National Radio and Television Promotion team
  • Manage the diary and handle incoming calls for the division’s General Manager
  • Radio track servicing through Play MPE software
  • Metro and regional radio additions reporting and general radio activity monitoring
  • Arranging department ticket requests, coordinating guest lists for events and managing RSVPs
  • Assisting with events for the promotions team, from planning to execution
  • Build department presentations following briefs from the senior managers

As Australia’s finest youth broadcaster, triple j are looking for an Executive Producer to oversee and coordinate the content and sound of triple j’s music based programs, major campaigns and live music output in order to meet Network objectives.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire a team

  • An in-depth understanding of key issues that are relevant to triple j’s 18 – 24 audience
