Brand Partnerships Manager – MTV

MTV Australia and New Zealand currently has an exciting opportunity for a Brand Partnership Manager to join the team, based in Darlinghurst, NSW. This role will be responsible for developing new commercial partnerships and execute an ad sales strategy that delivers direct revenue growth for the business whilst extending the MTV and Comedy Central brands in Australia and New Zealand. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth across TV, Digital and Event platforms by delivering market insights, product developments and sale opportunities in conjunction with channel priorities.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with MTV and Comedy Central Head of Departments and Director of Ad Sales and Commercial Partnerships to build and implement an annual commercial strategy that delivers revenue and builds long term client partnerships.
  • In conjunction with the Commercial Marketing Manager, maintain a strong working relationship with sales agents to ensure potential Ad Sales revenues are maximised and commercial strategies are aligned.
  • Manage all existing direct partnerships
  • Develop client presentations for major pitches and response to briefs incorporating all current and emerging touchpoints across linear, digital and social media.
  • Establish sales strategy to identify commercial opportunities via research, historic analysis, market trend, product development and drive pro-active revenue growth by targeting key categories and clients.
  • Undertake regular reporting and analysis and prepare and present quarterly / monthly reviews to ensure ongoing achievement and growth of budgets. Including understanding and leveraging market data as providing competitive analysis.
  • Work closely with Research and other relevant departments to create a market leading position for MTV Networks and Comedy Central and act as the brand sponsorship spokesperson.
  • Assist in trade marketing efforts and campaigns to ensure frequent and consistent engagement of direct business and build and manage direct database of clients.
  • Liaise with the international Sales team for new direct sponsorships opportunities and to identify new emerging trends that can be adapted to the local market.
  • Internal communications across marketing, programming, scheduling, digital, TAM, research, creative and all other relevant internal teams with regards to sales and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Responsible for ensuring finance are set up and billings are provided as required by Viacom and clients.

 

Skills/ experience required:

  • 5+ years’ experience in media sales, branded content, events, activations and partnerships and integration
  • Experience of securing new commercial clients and delivering against sales targets
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (marketing, communications degree)
  • Ability to articulate, persuasion and influencing skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to take control and initiate ideas
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to write concisely and creatively
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask
  • Strong digital knowledge
  • Advanced in Microsoft office and presentation skills
  • Calm under pressure

Campaign Coordinator – WSFM 101.7 (Australian Radio Network)

ARN (Australian Radio Network) is one of Australia’s most progressive and dynamic media and entertainment companies with a portfolio of brands including the KIIS Network, Pure Gold Network and Edge radio brands as well as music streaming and internet radio platform iHeartRadio. ARN is wholly owned by APN News and Media.

 

They are currently seeking a Campaign Coordinator to join their Sydney Campaign and Activations team to work on various Campaign tasks across WSFM Sydney. The Campaign Coordinator is responsible for devising and activating promotions originating from the Sales and Content teams to achieve optimum profitability, enhanced ratings and meet the marketing and communication objectives of all client briefs. Specific areas this role is responsible for includes prizing, promotions, events and street crew.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Meet weekly with the breakfast teams to discuss opportunities, ideas and communicate upcoming campaigns
  • Prize sourcing, booking and fulfilment
  • Writing and presenting promotional proposals to Sales for sponsorship
  • Managing Presenter appearances
  • Coordinate air checks and client follow up
  • Coordination and activation of National Campaign Activity
  • Coordination and maintenance of all promotional campaigns
  • Liaise with the Sales department to ensure that all Sales promotions are run effectively and efficiently
  • Internal reporting on Campaigns

 

Skills/experience required:

  • Appropriate qualifications in Marketing, Business, Promotions, P.R. or other media related disciplines
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role, radio experience is preferred but not essential
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong internal relationships
  • Exceptional time management skills combined with the ability to prioritise
  • A passion for developing creative concepts and bringing them to life
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Music (Aural Studies) – Melbourne Conservatorium of Music

The MCM are seeking an innovative and committed Lecturer or Senior Lecturer for their Music (Aural Studies) course.

 

For the role, you will coordinate, teach and further develop the aural studies sequence within the Bachelor of Music degree. You will hold an established reputation as a composer, musicologist, or performer from which to maintain research active status as a key member of the MCM staff.

 

The position is full-time continuing, primarily located at the Parkville Campus, and will commence 1 January 2017 or as negotiated.
