Only a day after the Foo Fighters played a secret set at Glasto under the pseudonym of "The Churn Outs", Dave Grohl made an appearance onstage alongside rock legends the Pretenders and Guns N’ Roses.

Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters weren’t even slated to perform at Glastonbury 2023, however they’ve cropped up numerous times unexpectedly at this year’s iteration of the iconic UK music festival.

Only a day after the Foo Fighters played a secret set at Glasto under the pseudonym of “The Churn Outs”, Dave Grohl made an appearance onstage alongside rock legends the Pretenders and Guns N’ Roses, joining the latter to perform a rendition of “Paradise City” that closed out their evening performance.

Some clever fans figured out the clues before the Foos took to the stage under their fake name, making the connection that that Dave Grohl was in a band called ‘Churn’ when he was a teenager.

Glastonbury isn’t the first time that Guns N’ Roses and Dave Grohl have graced the stage together, having teamed up for a performance of an Appetite for Destruction classic at the BottleRock Festival in 2021. However, unlike the aforementioned festival performance, both parties were actually able to play the song in its entirety at Glastonbury – At BottleRock, the festivities were halted mid-chorus, and all power was cut from the stage due to the fact that GNR had ignored the festival’s 10 p.m. curfew.
