Also included are ‘Motown Filters’ and ‘half-speed’ frequency settings, which cut the values of all centre frequencies by half, so that at full-speed playback, the frequencies are doubled. This allows audio to play back at the correct speed, leaving mastering EQ changes to occur at the right frequencies.
With a rounded and energetic sound, Motown has been a style that has been often imitated, never replicated. With Universal Audio Hitsville’s EQ Collection, the world leader in audio interfaces aim to reach as close to this benchmark as possible.
Named after the recording studio that gave rise to the successful independent music label, Motown, the Hitsville EQ Collection is available exclusively with a UAD Spark plugin subscription, and Universal Audio Apollo interfaces.
