Assemled in 1965 by Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider, The Monkees made an immediate impact on pop culture. The quartet included Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, Peter Tork and the late Davey Jones.
The Monkees first single, ‘Last Train To Clarksville’ was released in August 1966 and hit #1 on the charts. When their self-titled debut album landed on the stands, it sat at the top spot for 13 weeks.
Jones’ death in February 2012 saw the surviving members reunite for a series of concerts. Now, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork are continuing The Monkees career with a new show that features all of the hits and an intimate acoustic set and solo spots for each singer.
