In a statement released today, the organisers asked punters to retain their tickets for next year’s event, as well as announcing their intentions to rebook as many artists from the intended lineup this year as possible.
“We have been monitoring the situation closely for the past few months and while Australia is now moving into the recovery phase, there is no timeline yet around the opening of international borders,” said Splendour in the Grass Co-Producers Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco.
“As a result, and with our audience interests front and centre, we must announce the reschedule to 2021 now. We intend to rebook as many of the 2020 artists as possible and we have started to work through that process.”
The hallowed North Byron festival, which was set to celebrate its 20th annviersary this year with Tyler, The Creator, The Strokes and Flume, have stated that Moshtix will contact all account holders directly with details about refunds.
Resale tickets will be released to those on the Splendour In The Grass waitlist tomorrow at 12pm, while the general release tickets for the event will go on sale 12pm AEST Monday June 15 via Moshtix.
Head to the Splendour In The Grass website for more details, and make sure to sign up to our mailing list for updates on the lineup when they arrive.
