It’s been fifteen years since the release of the band’s fifth album and with no releases since their 2005 EP, Delusions of Grandchildren, patiently awaiting fans will be thrilled to hear they have got some new material to listen to.
Taking it back to the studio for the first time in ten years, Screamfeeder recorded their latest track ‘Alone In A Crowd’ at The Shed Recording Studio with Bryce Moorhead and Darek Mudge (Violent Soho). The single is the first look at their forthcoming album, set for release mid next year.
Kellie Lloyd described the new single as “an observation around going out. The tension and anxiety around knowing everyone in the room, but still feeling a little lost at times. It’s pretty universal, really. Nothing specific, just a rumination on how most people feel in the modern world and the anxiety around being a social creature”.
Screamfeeder will be playing shows around Australia later this year, giving their patient fans a glimpse of what they have been working on and reminiscing about an album that is relevant to this day.
