Today, Falls Festival goers have had their worst fears either realised or allayed, with the set times for the festival announced. In Lorne, seeing in the New Year will be Foals and DJ Yoda, in Byron it will be The Wombats and in Marion Bay it will be Bloc Party.
Fans in Lorne will be especially pleased with the schedule on the Valley Stage on the Wednesday afternoon, with Seth Sentry, Mac Demarco, Courtney Barnett and Gary Clarke Jr. playing back to back to back to back. If it was me, I would be settling in for an afternoon of marinating in the good vibes coming from that stage.
Kicking off the entire event will be Mighty Duke and the Lords on Monday in Lorne, whilst Django Django will play the last notes at around 11pm on Saturday night in Byron.
With such a killer lineup there will be plenty of great acts to see, so fans surely can not be too disappointed with the schedule regardless of who their favourites are. International headliners Bloc Party, The Wombats and Foals and home-grown talent alike are sure to make this a great way to spend the New Year’s period.
