In what promises to be “an immersive show that recognises their role in shaping popular culture and the influence they continue to hold,” Peter Hook will be joined by The Metropolitan Orchestra to perform a set honouring Joy Division’s iconic post-punk stylings.
The tour, which is set to see Hook and The Metropolitan Orchestra perform in some of Australia’s most grandiose venues, will undoubtedly offer a fascinating take on the influentially minimal sound of Joy Division’s output. Despite receiving mixed reviews overseas and with Peter Hook’s communication with his fellow Joy Division bandmates being infamously dire, we can’t wait to see how these concerts eventuate.
