After selling out landmark Australian venues, scooping up two gold singles, two gold albums and multiple ARIA Award nominations and ultimately, dominating various Australian charts, Kisschasy are set to say goodbye to their fans with a final national tour.
The release of United Paper People in 2005 saw Kisschasy thrust into the spotlight in a way they never thought possible. The album, recorded in just three weeks on a moderate budget, became a cult classic. Produced by Phil McKellar (Silverchair, Grinspoon), mixed by Barrett Jones (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) and released by John Watson’s Eleven, United Paper People featured favourites including ‘Do Do and Whoa-Ohs’, ‘The Shake’ and ‘Black Dress’.
After thirteen years together, the boys are set to part ways to work on other projects, both personal and professional. The upcoming farewell tour is sure to be an emotional and powerful goodbye to all that is Kisschasy and should not be missed. Joining the band is much loved Tassie rock band, Luca Brasi.
