Both acts are considered to be veterans of the Australian alternative scene, and have managed to linger in the spotlight long after their commericial prime in the ’90s. Jebediah’s ‘Harpoon’ is undeniably one of the biggest Aussie tracks of the late ’90s, while You Am I, who celebrate their 30th anniversary this year, have managed to snag an impressive ten ARIA awards and 14 Hottest 100 placements over their career.
The tour will see both acts expand the parameters to head out to rarely visited regional centres such as Duncraig, Emerald, Ipswich and Castlemaine for the mammoth tour, skipping out on major city crowds to offer something special to country bumpkins. It’s a very choice move from both acts, and given their reputation as live performers, there’s every chance tickets won’t last very long.
