The Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee will be stripping back the theatricality of his renowned stage show for a rare performance focusing upon his songwriting and musical characteristics.
The Gene Simmons band features expert musicians Ryan Cook, Jeremy Asbrock, Phil Shouse and Brent Fitz. Combined, their experience spans performances with Slash, Alice Cooper, Vince Neil, Union, ex-Motley Crue vocalist John Corabi’s solo band, and Nashville’s The Rock N Roll Residency.
Performing several songs that have only ever been heard on record to date, Simmons will also be commemorating the occasion by releasing The Vault, a personal collection of 150 recordings featuring notable rock n roll artists – including his bandmates from KISS – condensed into a 50-year time capsule from 1966 to 2016.
Starting for a cool $2,000 USD ($2,540.87 AUD), The Vault features a huge series of new collectibles, including a Gene action figure, an ‘In Gene We Trust’ oversized commemorative coin, a 160 page book featuring unseen photos from his personal collection, a track-by-track commentary on each song, a hand-picked personal gift and a double pass to Gene’s concert in their nearest capital city. For the ultimate experience, Simmons will personally hand-deliver The Vault himself on his Aussie tour.
