The Californian rhyme weaver, who last visited Australia two years ago for Splendour in the Grass and a series of club shows (including one particularly rowdy Sydney gig), is set to hit up Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Sunday January 14, 2018.
Rising to fame as part of the wildly controversial hip-hop collective Odd Future, Earl Sweatshirt’s uncanny rhyming ability and wordplay attracted significant critical acclaim and a cult following amongst rap fans. A frequent collaborator with artists such as Frank Ocean, Vince Staples and Tyler, The Creator, Sweatshirt has been teasing new material from his highly anticipated third LP, which is slated for release in 2018.
With a whole slew of Odd Future fans living down under, there’s no doubt these tickets are going to sell out in a heartbeat. Tickets go on sale from 12pm Thursday December 14, or you can try your luck with the Frontier Touring Members presale from 11am Wednesday December 13.
