The latest acts to join the heavy festivities will grace the inaugural Ascension Stage, designed to showcase the emerging artists on track to become headliners in the not-too-distant future.
Western Sydney’s Justice For The Damned will bring a wealth of touring experience from support slots for the likes of Parkway Drive and Polaris to the Ascension Stage, while Brisbane death metal outfit Aversions Crown are more than up to the task of adding another big-name festival to their list of accomplishments.
Elsewhere, New Zealand’s Devilskin bring debut album We Rise to our shores following a whopping 54-week stay in the NZ Top 40, Aussie act Eat Your Heart Out will present their unique blend of grunge, punk and pop to Download audiences, and Melbourne-based The Beautiful Monument round out the lineup as they prepare to unleash their sophomore album on the world.
