Described by Pitchfork as the ‘most talented, impactful culture jammers of the streaming age,’ the intimate tour dates will be the cult noise-punk group’s first Australian shows since appearing at Big Day Out in 2013.
After seemingly breaking up in 2014, Death Grips returned in full force in 2015 with consecutive releases The Powers That B and 2016’s Bottomless Pit, continuing to push sonic boundaries and securing their status as one of the most unique hip hop acts of the 21st century.
Deemed infamous for the intensity of their music and chaotic live shows, the trio of MC Ride, Zach Hill and Andy Morin have rapidly grown in notoriety since the release of their breakout 2011 mixtape Exmilitary. With the tour set to take place in a series of intimate venues across the East Coast, expect an unforgetable run of shows from one of hip hop’s most unique acts.
Wednesday August 2 – Metro Theatre, Sydney, NSW
Friday August 4 – Max Watts, Brisbane, QLD
Saturday August 5 – Prince Bandroom, Melbourne, VIC
