Arctic Monkeys announce 2019 Australian tour

The tour will see the band make stops in arenas across four city centres: Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. They’ll be touring off the back of latest album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, which was released in May this year.

In the six months since its release, Tranquility Base has already chalked up a bunch of accolades, including becoming the band’s sixth consecutive number one debut in the UK, taking the crown as the country’s fastest-selling vinyl in 25 years, and earning a nomination for the Mercury Prize.

Joining Arctic Monkeys as support will be Mini Mansions, the LA trio featuring members of Queens of the Stone Age and the Last Shadow Puppets.

The announcement caps off a huge year for the Arctic Monkeys, who have surrounded the release of their sixth studio album with a vinyl reissue, broken records, and even a mini-documentary.
