Tom DeLonge teams up with Reverb to auction off Blink-182 gear

Words by Will Brewster

100 pieces of gear are included in the auction lot.

Pop-punk connoisseur and extra-terrestrial enthusiast Tom DeLonge is set to team up with Reverb to auction off a massive lot of gear next Wednesday.

Head here for all the latest Product News.

The former Blink-182 singer/guitarist and Angels & Airwaves frontman, who has spent the past few years committing his time towards researching alien life, will pair up with the gear retailer to unload a 100-piece strong lot of studio and live gear stemming from his tenure with both acts.

Featuring an arsenal of amps, synths, guitar pedals and rack gear, much of the equipment to head to auction as part of the Official Tom DeLonge Reverb Shop stems back from DeLonge’s stint with Blink-182, including a number of Marshall JMP-1 and Mesa Boogie Triaxis rack-mount preamps that still have the original Blink patches saved on them.

Additionally, there’s two Roland Fantom-X6s that DeLonge claims have been used on ‘pretty much every Angels (and Airwaves) record,’ with the collection also featuring a Korg Kronos, Nord Stage and Korg Triton.

“Over the years, I’ve collected so much music gear, used on different albums and tours, that now I’m overflowing with this stuff,” said DeLonge of the launch of the Offical Tom DeLonge Reverb Shop. “I need space, and in order to make space for the next Angels & Airwaves run—so that I can rehearse, do our stretching, and hug and kiss each other and all that other shit we have to do—I want to pass this stuff on.”

“I’m excited for anybody that’s a fan of the music that I was fortunate enough to make and be a part of to get their hands on this gear,” continued DeLonge. “So hopefully you guys will find something you like. If you do end up owning some of this gear though, I need to warn you that there’s going to be a few things that happen: You will get more handsome and everyone will love you. That’s part of the rock’n’roll lifestyle.”

The auction is set to kick off on Wednesday March 24 – sign up here for updates.
