Along with the all analogue signal path, the Dirt Magnet includes a noise generator, a crackle generator (which mimics the vinyl crackle associated with sampling), a ring modulator, and a low pass filter. All of which have their own tone shaping parameters.
Along with those features, the most notable is the analogue magnetic tape delay which can be seen at the bottom of the unit. It allows for shaping of tone, feedback and spatialisation of the delay, but it is also possible to adjust the tape speed and perform manual tape stop effects.
All parameters can be modulated manually by turning the knobs or by using the two built in LFOs. The Dirt Magnet also includes CV control, allowing you to modulate the units parameters using external modular and semi modular gear, such as Eurorack modules.
