Strandberg Boden Plini Edition Neck-Thru

It goes without saying that Plini and Strandberg essentially go hand in hand with one another. Both parties are synonymous with each other and possess an incredibly fruitful working relationship, which is epitomised by the launch of the brand’s new Neck-Thru edition of the popular Boden Plini Edition.

As opposed to the previously released bolt-on model, the Boden Plini Neck-Thru version features a five-ply carbon fibre reinforced roasted maple neck, which runs deep into the body of the guitar. 24 angled frets adorn the guitar’s ebony fretboard, while a lone Plini Moon inlay resides at the 12th fret for a minimalist aesthetic.

The guitar also features a chambered swamp ash body for weight relief and resonance, while a solid maple top and Australian Blackwood veneer injects the guitar with a unique tonal quality.

Other features include twin Strandberg Plini Edition humbuckers designed by Michael Frank, which are wired to a three-way selector switch and master volume knob. A Strandberg EGS Series 5 bridge functions as both a tremolo and tuning system, with the guitar being available in both Natural and Trans Brown finishes.

Strandberg Singularity True Temperament

Also new to the Strandberg lineup is the wild Singularity True Temperament; a signature guitar for Swedish metal titan Per Nilsson. In case you’re not on top of this, true temperament means that the frets are laid in crooked up and down the board, allowing for near-perfect intonation. It may look weird at first, but you’ll definitely notice the difference when you’re playing.

These new Per Nilsson guitars, which are available in both seven Red Blast and eight-string Blue Blast variants, feature roasted maple multi-scale necks and American basswood bodies, while a slick Indian rosewood board sits beneath all that funky fretwork.

Each model is fitted with Lundgren Vintage neck and bridge humbuckers, while a single-coil sits in the middle position. A Strandberg EGS Series 5 fixed bridge promises optimised tuning stability and performance, with all hardware on both guitars being forged from aircraft-grade aluminium for a tough look and feel.

Given the amount of work that goes into crafting true temperament guitars, these models are only available in limited quantities, so if you’re considering pulling the trigger, we’d urge you to move fast to secure yours ASAP.
