Here’s what’s new:

StingRay SR50

The ‘70s Ernie Ball Music Man designs are all over the SR50 as the StingRay has been graced with a few upgrades like a roasted maple neck with rosewood or roasted maple fingerboard, a poplar body, a super smooth vintage tremolo, and locking tuners. These upgrades have the goal of performance and playability in mind, as the dual humbucker configuration is “perfect for those seeking a bold tone out of their go-to guitar”.

All new for 2022, the StingRay SR50 is now available in Firemist Silver and Buttermilk.

StingRay Ray34 and Ray35

The StingRay’s unmistakable timbre has made them a mainstay in music since its introduction and a staple for any bassist’s collection. These basses feature a roasted maple neck, a modern contoured body, and a 3-band active pickup. Choose from a single or dual alnico humbucking option for the purest StingRay sound or for tonal versatility.

The StingRay Ray34 is now available in Purple Sparkle, Blue Sparkle, Seafoam Sparkle, Heritage Cherry Bust, Neptune Blue, and Dark Scarlet Burst Satin. The StingRay Ray35 comes in Purple Sparkle, Blue Sparkle, and Dark Scarlet Burst Satin. The StingRay Ray34HH and StingRay Ray35HH are now available in Amber.

Cutlass CT50

Designed alongside the StingRay guitar, the Cutlass is one of the most versatile instruments in the Sterling by Music Man lineup, and it’s looking fresh for 2022. The Cutlass CT50 is sporting a roasted maple neck with rosewood or roasted maple fingerboard, a poplar body, a vintage tremolo, and locking tuners.

The humbucker and two single coil configuration is versatile and, all new for 2022, the Cutlass CT50HSS is now available in Daphne Blue Satin and Pueblo Pink Satin.

Short Scale Ray SS4

The StingRay Short Scale RaySS4 is the epitome of the phrase, “good things come in small packages.” This short scale bass packs the full StingRay sound into a 30″ scale length, perfect for any bassist seeking the iconic tone in a more compact form.

This bass’ ease of playability is complemented by its passive boost and single humbucking pickup with higher output neodymium magnets capable of parallel, true single coil, and series modes. That means it delivers comfortability without any compromise in sound.

The StingRay Short Scale RaySS4 is now available in Black with a tortoise pickguard.

Axis AX3QM

The Axis AX3QM represents a long-lasting legacy of iconic guitars combined with modern guitar innovations. Featuring a 5-way selector, an asymmetrical neck, and a vintage-inspired tremolo, the Axis pays homage to the history of guitars without compromising any convenience.

For 2022, the Axis AX3QM is sure to turn heads with its new quilted maple finishes, Spectrum Red and Spectrum Blue.

Majesty

Designed to accommodate the playing of John Petrucci, these guitars are the ultimate tools for expression with no compromise. Loaded with a 12dB push-push volume pot, a rosewood fretboard, and a modern tremolo, the Majesty is built to push the boundaries of guitar music in both 6-string (MAJ100) and 7-string (MAJ170) configurations.

The guitar would not be complete without its double humbucker pickups, providing an astounding tone to match its look and feel. The Majesty in Siberian Sapphire is a perfectly designed modern instrument for those looking to push their sound into overdrive.

Mariposa

Designed in collaboration with Mars Volta and At the Drive-In composer and guitarist Omar Rodríguez-López, the Mariposa is a stunner. The guitar’s unique body shape is eye-catching, but there is more than meets the eye with the Mariposa. Equipped with two humbucking pickups controlled by separate volume knobs, this guitar has endless tonal options.

Featuring a roasted maple neck, locking tuners, three-way switching, and block inlays, this guitar is one of the most striking instruments in the Sterling by Music Man lineup. The Mariposa is now available in Pueblo Pink.
