Celebrating 40 years of Squier with Gold Edition Telecasters, Stratocasters, Jazzmasters, Precision, and Jazz Basses

Fender is celebrating the Squier’s Ruby anniversary with two collections of collectible models, the Gold Edition and Vintage Edition, each boasting anodised aluminium pickguards, Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups and vintage-style hardware.

The Vintage Edition will be available in June while the Gold Edition is available now.

The Gold Editions all feature gold-anodised aluminium pick guards, along with matching gold hardware and a bound Indian laurel fretboard with classic block inlays.

Both editions will be available as Telecasters, Stratocasters, Jazzmasters, Precision Basses, and Jazz Basses.

“Steeped in Fender history, the Squier brand represents a legacy of finely crafted instruments for the aspiring player,” Fender said.

“Squier guitars were launched in 1982 – they have grown into an entire range of affordably priced instruments for the aspiring player.”

The Gold Edition Telecaster will be available in Black and Sherwood Green, the Strat will be available in Lake Placid Blue, Ruby Red Metallic, and Sienna Sunburst, and the Jazzmaster will be available in Lake Placid Blue and Olympic White.

The Precision Bass will be available in Lake Placid Blue and Black, while the Jazz Bass will be available in Olympic White and Ruby Red Metallic.
