Two new additions have joined Spector's bass lineup with the NS Icon Bolt-On series and the NC-4 Frank Bello signature model.

Spector has been pushing bass design forward for nearly 50 years, and the new NS Icon Bolt-On series keeps that momentum going.

Catch up on all the latest news here.

Built by luthiers at Spector’s Custom Shop in Woodstock, New York, the NS Icon Bolt-On series blends the brand’s classic NS design with contemporary refinements. Each bass features a fully carved alder body paired with a bolt-on three-piece rock maple neck and smooth rosewood fingerboard, prioritising comfort and playability across extended sessions.

Players can choose between four-string and five-string configurations, with finishes available in black, white, black cherry and black stain – all showcasing a striking quilted maple top. The electronics package centres on custom Aguilar components: four-string models sport a reverse P and J pickup configuration, while five-strings feature dual soapbar pickups. Both setups are paired with the Aguilar OBP-2 preamp for tonal versatility and exceptional sound quality.

NC-4 Frank Bello

Anthrax bassist Frank Bello has teamed up with Spector to create the NC-4 Frank Bello signature model, an instrument that draws from both Spector’s heritage and iconic American bolt-on bass design. The NC-4 offers a refined shape with a radiused top and uniquely contoured neck heel, delivering a nimbler, more playable take on the classic bolt-on platform.

Bello’s signature model comes dressed in a stunning metallic purple finish with matching headstock and complementary purple acrylic block fingerboard inlays – a visual statement that matches the bass’s performance credentials.
