The update allows either stereo or multi-channel correction.
Two huge players in their respective fields, Sonarworks and Avid have today announced further integrations between their products. Avid produce the industry-standard Pro Tools, and also produce interfaces of varying levels, more recently with their growing range of MTRX interfaces. The MTRX series have varying levels of inputs. They have enough outputs and routing options for home-studio producers up to professional engineers. MTRX now integrate with Sonarworks award-winning digital room treatment software.

Sonarworks SoundID allows for frequency and time-correction, which can now be uploaded directly to your MTRX interface instead of run as a standalone application or plugin in your DAW. The update allows either stereo or multi-channel correction. Mark Corbin, Senior Principal Product Manager at Avid, said:
“We are excited to partner with Sonarworks to bring their room calibration method into the Avid ecosystem. Not only has it drastically simplified a cumbersome process, but its results are difficult to argue with. Now anyone who owns a Pro Tools | MTRX II, MTRX Studio, or even a MTRX with SPQ card can confidently and easily tune their space to ensure the absolute best possible mix.”
The integration was announced at New York’s AES Show and the integration will be available to users shortly after the show.
