The compact 10-inch system runs for up to 12 hours on a swappable battery, with a new mobile app providing DSP control for Bluetooth-equipped QSC speakers.

QSC has announced the CB10 Compact Battery-Powered Loudspeaker System, alongside a new QSC Loudspeaker Control app for iOS and Android devices. The battery-powered speaker targets event production professionals, DJs, mobile entertainers, musicians, and bands who need portable, high-performance audio without a power outlet.

Compact system with integrated mixing

The CB10 packs a 10-inch woofer and 1-inch compression driver for full-range sound, with a built-in 3-channel mixer that handles mics, instruments, and Bluetooth streaming. Input presets and DSP handle optimisation, whilst up to 200ms of room delay lets you use it as a system extension for distributed setups.

Battery life hits 12 hours per charge, and you can swap batteries without tools when needed. You can either mount it on a standard speaker stand or tilt it back for floor placement. Plus, QSC backs it with a 6-year warranty (1-year on the battery) when you register within 30 days of purchase.

Mobile app control

The QSC Loudspeaker Control app gives you even deeper control over the CB10’s audio and DSP settings from your phone, going beyond what the physical controls offer. The free app (available on both Apple and Android stores) works with the CB10, KC12 “K Column”, and future Bluetooth-equipped QSC speakers, managing multiple connected devices from one placce.

Portability meets performance

Typically, battery-powered PA systems force you to compromise, and pick two of three: would you prefer longer runtime, better output, or quality build quality? The CB10’s 12-hour battery life tackles the runtime problem head-on, while the 10-inch driver and compression horn setup suggests QSC isn’t settling for background music. The built-in mixer means one less thing to carry, and features like DSP presets and room delay capability show the CB10 can handle more technical applications than your typical portable speaker.

The CB10 is expected to arrive in Australia in early March.
