The expanded range includes the DGT Semi-Hollow, S2 Vela HHT, and Archon Classic 50 Combo alongside significant SE Series improvements.

PRS Guitars has rolled out its 2026 product announcements, bringing new models and useful upgrades across its Core, S2, and SE Series lines, plus a new amplifier format for good measure. The updates touch nearly every segment of their catalogue, from flagship instruments to their more accessible offerings.

DGT Semi-Hollow joins the Core Series

Leading the charge is the DGT Semi-Hollow, which is now graduating to permanent Core Series status after successful limited runs. Born from over two decades of collaboration between PRS and David Grissom, this model builds on the foundations of the standard DGT while adding the resonance and dynamics of a semi-hollow construction. Grissom’s personal Private Stock guitar inspired the design, which keeps the essential DGT specifications: 25″ scale length, 22 frets, signature DGT neck shape with jumbo frets, and the same carefully selected wood combination. Custom-voiced DGT pickups come standard, alongside dual volume controls and a push/pull tone control for vintage-inspired tones.

According to Grissom, the semi-hollow design delivers warmer top end, slightly less bottom than the solidbody version, and more controlled feedback. This makes it a versatile companion to his existing DGTs. “I’m glad it’s officially joining the PRS lineup after a couple successful limited runs,” he said.

S2 Vela HHT brings dual humbuckers and tremolo

Over in the S2 range, the beloved offset Vela gets the dual-humbucker tremolo treatment with the new Vela HHT. This model takes it in a more modern direction while still maintaining the Vela’s core appeal.

A pair of DS-01 humbuckers with exposed pole pieces delivers sharper attack and beefier low end compared to the single-coil loaded variants—but Vela’s distinctive, sparkling cleans remain untouched. The tremolo bridge adds pitch modulation, while a push/pull tone control allows coil-tapping for expanded tonal options. Players will have plenty to explore on this model, from clean articulation to more powerful, full-range tones.

Archon Classic 50 Combo

The Archon Classic 50 amp arrives in combo format, housing a 12″ Celestion V-Type speaker. Launched as a head in April last year, this two-channel grab-and-go option maintains the voice, reliability, and power of its predecessor while ditching the cabinet.

Its controls remain refreshingly intuitive, with a three-band EQ, individual channel and master volumes, a bright switch, plus global presence and depth. An effects loop and ample headroom make it pedalboard-friendly for players who like to stack their gain stages, while the combo format means it’s ready to play out of the box.

SE Series upgrades

The SE Series has received notable updates—most significantly PRS’s proprietary Wing Buttons on many models. This design dates back to Paul Reed Smith’s 1982 sketches and echoes the 12th fret bird wingspan. Beyond aesthetics, these lighter tuners sap less energy from vibrating strings, ultimately improving sustain and helping the guitars ring out longer at a more musical pitch.

The SE range also gets sloped pickup rings as standard, wrapping tightly around the pickups for a cleaner overall look.

Expanded colour choices

Black Plum and Mojave Brown arrive as new satin finishes for the Silver Sky Maryland model, and the SE Zach Myers now comes in Elderberry Burst alongside its original finish. The palette has expanded across multiple series, with more finishes now available on a wider range of models.
