The news comes hot on the heels of the release of the first three guitars from Wylde Audio; the Viking V, the Warhammer, and the Odin. Following the trend of slightly unusual designs, the new Barbarian guitars are similar to an SG shape, but have that classic Wylde Audio sharpness to them.
This photo below shows three prototypes in red, natural and sunburst finishes, and Wylde himself later tweeted the specs of the guitar with the natural finish.

“The BARBARIAN-MAHOGANY BODY/MAPLE TIGER TOP/MAPLE NECK/EBONY FRETBOARD/TONE PROS HARDWARE/EMG 81-85/6OOO FRETWIRE,” tweeted the former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist, with obvious concern for the 140 character limit and obvious disregard for the grammatical rules of capitalisation.
It remains to be seen when these guitars will be available to the public, but preorders will no doubt start soon.
