Apparently the inventors of this new technology did, as they’ve created a pair of sunglasses that you can listen to music on without the use of headphones, or any cords at all. The secret is built in bone conduction speakers, which transmit sound waves to the skull via vibrations, so you can keep yours ears open to what is around you.
As well as keeping you alive when riding your bike, these sunnies will finally allow you to listen to tunes when you’re talking to someone you really don’t want to talk to but kind of have to out of respect, and you’ll look way cooler than them too. Ha.
The Kickstarter campaign ends in five days, but don’t worry about them falling across the line of their $50,000 target, they’ve amassed over $1.5 million dollars in funding from nearly 10,000 backers.
The sunglasses work through Bluetooth connectivity to any smartphone or smart device, and need to be charged before use, but actually look like a pretty useful invention for when you want to look super fly and listen to tunes wirelessly with some pretty cool technology under the hood.
