THE NEW HSS CUTLASS FROM ERNIE BALL MUSIC MAN

EBMM Main.jpg

Since its initial release, the Cutlass has won a lot of fans for its unique Stratocaster-style design that manages to seem both modern and classic at the same time. This new update retains the guitar’s features, but adds a humbucking pickup in its bridge position, resulting in the ‘fat strat’ HSS configuration.

The Music Man custom-wound ceramic humbucker used combines with the two single coil pickups to create a more diverse guitar tone capable of both thick, crunchy lows and thinner, biting highs. The Cutlass also features an alder body, an oversized four over two headstock and modern tremolo.

EBMM have also revealed some new specifications for both their StingRay and Cutlass SSS lines. Both models have received updated vintage-styled electronics and a smooth vintage tremolo system, whit the StringRay featuring a lightweight African mahogany body, and the Cutlass SSS a lightweight alder. These guitars will also be available in two new finishes – Charcoal Frost and Coral Red.
