Dutchman Maarten Van Halderen recently revealed the creation process of his very own custom guitar, featuring sheet metal, beer cans and pieces of chain, among other materials. The video Gitaar Van Schroot (a.k.a guitar scrap) is a true show of innovative and remarkable repurposing.
With a plasma cutting and welding sheet for the body, a rectangular steel tube for the neck, nails for the frets and beer can decorative work, the custom guitar is a scrapyard turned instrument. The addition of the wrap-around chains creates the ultimate punk inspired instrument for anyone looking for a kick-ass point of difference for their guitar.
Showing off another one of his metallic creations, Van Halderen clearly knows his way around both a junk yard and an electric guitar. Check out the video below to have a listen to the finished product.
