The free version of the universal app comes stocked with two free amplifiers and eight effects with six factory presets, although it’s likely you’ll want to upgrade to one of the four premium licenses to access the full extent of BIAS’ power. The app is based on the renowned BIAS FX amp simulation software for PC/Mac that offers an emphasis on highly authentic, amplifier circuits in its library.
BIAS FX is designed to optimise usability, with a simple drag and drop interface to dial in tone as if you were using a room full of analogue studio gear, and packs the practical minor functions we all need, like a metronome and live tuner.
The Ultimate License contains the BIAS FX’s full capacity, packing Global Output settings, MIDI control, and BIAS AMP 2 integration as well as a total of 20 amp models, 81 effects and 74 factory presets.
“Delays, choruses, flangers, vibratos, tremolos – all that is available in BIAS FX,” said Deftones’ Stef Carpenter. “Whatever it is that your style requires, it’s all there for you.”
