As well as all your usual dedicated transport buttons to help start and stop playback and recording, the Launchkey has added Ableton Live-friendly acccessibility through a dedicated button that allows users to operate the transport and mixer, plus they’ve put eight rotary encoders on the top to help tune and control Device Macros.
And that’s not all; a Fixed Chord mode and arpeggiator is causing a stir as it enables users to trigger chords with a single note and turn chords into riffs, melodies and sequences with ease and comfort.
The keyboard also comes with software from AAS, Softube, Spitfire Audio, XLN Audio and Klevgrand that offer an array of virtual instruments and plugin effects; a MIDI Out feature to sync with hardware synths; mapping templates for other DAWs; and finally, a membership to Novation Sound Collection will get you a slew of free content from Novation’s plugin partners throughout the year.
