NAMM 2019: Fender expands pedal collection with six new stompboxes

The six all-new pedals are designed with stage-ready features and Fender’s signature sound and aesthetics.

“The initial launch of our effects pedals line in 2018 was very successful,” said Richard Bussey, Director of Product Development – Accessories. “Our first wave of pedals featured a lot of distortion and overdrive effects, knowing that this year we would be able to focus on modulation effects to help further broaden a player’s palette. These new additions to our effects pedals play well into Fender’s rich history with amplifiers and amplifier effects, while also catering to the bass community with our first official bass effects pedal – The Downtown Express.”

BUBBLER CHORUS

Add a new dimension to your tone with a pedal that could easily become the foundation of your sound. This analogue effect offers switchable Slow and Fast speeds, independent Rate and Depth controls, and toggles for Wave and Sensitivity.

LOST HIGHWAY PHASER

A powerful analogue phaser that allows users to alternate between slow shifting to rapid modulation. Users can switch between four- and eight-stage phasing for increased resonance.

MTG TUBE DISTORTION

Co-designed with Bruce Egnater, the MTG Tube Distortion is an all-original Fender circuit that uses actual vacuum tubes for a truly authentic tube breakup sound. Three-band EQ and switchable boost are also included.

DOWNTOWN EXPRESS

Fender’s first official bass pedal is a one-stop shop for tone shaping, offering everything a bass player could need. Features include a compressor, three-band EQ and overdrive, plus an included switch to reorder the compressor and overdrive circuits.

TRE-VERB

Experience the sound of genuine Fender amplifier tremolo and reverb effects with the Tre-Verb pedal. Users can expect classic reverb voicings based on Fender’s spring reverb units from the ‘60s, plus multiple tremolo modes to choose from.

THE PINWHEEL

Offers a classic sound achieved by combining an organ speaker and amplifier. The Pinwheel boasts three different rotary speaker voices, Fender’s Vibratone effect, and switchable Slow and Fast speeds.
