The instrument opens up a world of new possibilities for creatives, and the ability to create dance art and music at the same time. There are a variety of gestures that can be programmed to any virtual instrument, and the device also recognises orientation, rotation and acceleration.
Motus is currently only used in a professional setting, but the company is endeavouring to bring the product to the public through a Kickstarter campaign. Different pledges amount to different versions of the product, and the campaign is well over half way to its goal of $28,000.
