EVENTIDE ANNOUNCE RACK FRIENDLY EURO DDL

By minimising the amount of digital circuitry inside the unit, Eventide have empahsised a pristine delay sound with the Euro DDL, with the clipping, low-pass filter, feedback, insert loop and +20 dB boost all containing analogue circuitry. This results in a natural delay unit, capable of achieving everything from short slapback echoes to long, double tracked oscillating drones.

Notably, the Euro DDL also allows users to switch between different sample rates to choose between longer delay time or higher audio quality. While this may pose a dilemma for many studio-savvy musos, there’s still plenty of options with the unit, ranging from a crystal clear 10 seconds of 192 kHz sample rate delay to a huge 160 seconds of delay time with the 16kHz sample rate.

Delay time can also be controlled and manipulated with the Euro DDL either manually or with an external function, such as a tap-tempo swtich or via connecting a remote to the LFO function to control filter and flange effects.

At this rate, it looks like the Euro DDL should hit shelves some time around January. In the meantime, check out Eventide’s website for more information.
