The original Z Wreck amp has earned quite the reputation amongst guitar players, with many favouring its sweet, US-voiced character. It’s perfect for mid-gain blues and twangy country styles, and was developed in conjunction with Trainwreck Amps don Ken Fischer and acclaimed country player Brad Paisley.
Available as either a combo amp or a sole amplifier head, this new Jr. model packs a compact punch, with three 12AX7 preamp tubes, a pair of 6n14n power tubes and a single 5Y3 rectifier pushing out 15 watts of all-tube tone.
In the control department, there’s knobs to adjust Volume, Master, Bass, Treble and Tone Cut, while a single 12″ Celestion Greenback punches out all frequencies. The Z Wreck Jr. also features a post-phase inverter, letting you tap into its saucy tone at any volume level. This means you’ll still be able to get that classic cranked tube tone without garnering noise complaints when playing in the wee hours; a blessing indeed.
