The new A-Series capsules bring Neumann's condenser sound and reduced handling noise to Sennheiser's latest wireless platforms, including Spectera.
Neumann has introduced the KK 104 A and KK 105 A, premium condenser capsule heads for Sennheiser wireless systems, bringing the German manufacturer’s signature sound quality to Sennheiser’s most advanced wireless platforms.
Building on the acclaimed KK 204 and KK 205, the new A-Series capsules combine proven condenser technology with an updated design, reduced handling noise, and compatibility with Sennheiser’s Spectera, EW-D, EW-DX, and Digital 6000/9000 handheld transmitters.

“The KK 204 and KK 205 set a new standard for wireless vocal performance by bringing true condenser sound to the stage,” said Stephan Mauer, director of product management at Neumann. “With the KK 104 A and KK 105 A, we’ve pushed that concept even further. These new capsule heads are optimised for today’s wireless workflows while preserving the unmistakable Neumann character that artists and engineers trust to deliver their best performances.”
Unlike conventional dynamic capsules, both models employ true condenser technology, aiming to deliver exceptional transparency, fast transient response, and detailed vocal reproduction. Their consistent, frequency-independent directionality is designed to offer feedback resistance that rivals the best dynamic capsules, while a fixed low-cut filter controls proximity effect during close mic use. A hardened steel grille with an integrated pop screen protects the capsule from moisture and helps reduce plosives and sibilance in demanding live conditions.
The two models differ in pickup pattern. The KK 104 A uses a cardioid polar pattern, combining feedback resistance with greater freedom of movement and a slightly more open, spacious sound. The KK 105 A instead uses a supercardioid pattern for maximum isolation and control, rejecting off-axis sound more tightly for an intimate, highly defined vocal presentation suited to crowded stages and challenging monitoring environments.

The KK 104 A and KK 105 A were showcased alongside Sennheiser’s Spectera SKM handheld transmitter at IBC 2026, and are available in nickel matt and black finishes.
