The WING-MADI brings 64-channel digital audio interfacing to Behringer's WING digital mixing platform, with flexible SFP connectivity for broadcast and live production.
Behringer has announced the WING-MADI, a new expansion card for its WING digital console range aimed at professional broadcast and live production applications.
Boasting 64 bidirectional channels with 24-bit signal transmission, the WING-MADI is designed to securely interface a WING console with stage boxes, recorders, broadcast equipment, format converters, and more.

Where the card sets itself apart is in its connectivity. Rather than fixed optical connectors, the WING-MADI features two SFP slots, letting engineers tackle both single-mode and multi-mode configurations, and short or long cable runs, regardless of connector standard — simply select the transceiver that suits the job at hand. The card ships with a 1,310-nanometre MADI-wavelength SFP module and duplex LC connector included, so it’s ready to run straight out of the box. With that included module, transmission distances of up to two kilometres are supported over 62.5/125 µm multimode fibre.
Beyond the SFP slots, the WING-MADI also houses coaxial BNC I/O, supporting 75-ohm coaxial cable runs of up to one hundred metres for added flexibility. Redundancy is supported across SFP1 and SFP2, or across SFP1 and the BNC coaxial connection, giving engineers a safety net for critical live and broadcast applications.
The result, according to Behringer, is a pleasantly straightforward way to expand a WING digital console’s connectivity without being locked into a single fibre or cable standard.
The Behringer WING-MADI expansion card is set to be available in early January 2027.
