Don’t Look Down follows A Mind Of My Own with themes of love, life, loss, challenges and hope all featured, and is littered with guest spots from artists including 360, Paul Kelley, Paul Dempsey and Arie-Elle.
Following the lead single ‘Calling Out’, which has been added to high rotation on triple j, the video for the tongue-in-cheek track ‘They Try To Tell Me’ dropped last week, directed by Jeremy Koren and featuring fellow Aussie rapper 360. Of the track, PEZ says “it’s the closest thing I generally have to a banger!”
With nearly a decade between album releases, they were always going to be pretty different bodies of work, something that PEZ acknowledges. “I feel like my perspective has shifted quite a bit, just with age maybe – just maturity,” he says. “You start to see the world a little differently.”
