Julia Jacklin Releases New Single And Video ‘Eastwick’

Premiered on Triple J’s Good Nights, the slow burning track features Jacklin’s laid back melodies in conjunction with her signature brooding lyrics, inspired by a bout of ‘Dancing With The Stars induced depression’ in front of the television one night.

The self-directed music video, unveiled overnight by Noisey, stars Jacklin and her bass player Harrison Fuller, and feautres mesmerising footage of the two embracing in amongst the breathtaking scenery of Jacklin’s home region in the Blue Mountains. Chock full with visual motifs of blue, the video acts as a faithful depiction of the vibe of the single by expanfing on the symbolism implied throughout the song.

Set to be released in September, ‘Eastwick/Cold Caller’ will be Julia Jacklin’s first single since the release of her acclaimed 2016 debut album Don’t Let The Kids Win, resulting in massive industry buzz and several sold out venues both locally and overseas.

‘Eastwick/Cold Caller’ will be released on Friday September 15 via Liberation Music and can be purchased here. Julia Jacklin will be playing at Splendour in the Grass, which runs from Friday July 21-Sunday July 23.
