Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures celebrated with Reimagined music video series

The first of the tracks featured in the series is the stark album closer ‘I Remember Nothing,’ which is honoured with an intense visual from Icelandic duo Helgi & Hörður. While we can’t embed the video for your viewing pleasure on our website (blame someone, but don’t blame us), you can watch the video on YouTube via this link.

Later this year, Joy Division bassist Peter Hook is performing a concert series with the Metropolitan Orchestra to mark the 40th anniversary of Unknown Pleasures – read more about that here. This year also saw the publication of Jon Savage’s oral history of the band This searing light, the sun and everything else: Joy Division: The Oral History, which offers a comprehensive history of the band up until frontman Ian Curtis’ suicide in May 1980.
