Produced and mixed by Watson himself, Glamorous Damage draws from the pizzazz and robo-glam of Prince, Eno’s experimental fabric and the melodic vision of Beach Boys. Watson has an innate ability to assemble and deconstruct the music he plays at will – a prominent feature of this new album.
The album’s colourful lead single ‘Anesthetized Lesson’, which currently sits on 44, 000 SoundCloud plays, is quick to stick and slow to leave the mind. This follows the success of GUM’s debut album, Delorean Highway, which amassed close to 450, 000 SoundCloud plays and landed a coveted spot on the 2014 AMP longlist.
The eccentric Perth musician is also set to support LA’s Mini Mansions at the Melbourne date of their Australian tour.
